Welcome to the Bungalow!
The house, built in 1914, was originally the home of John Chartz, District Attorney in Carson City. John and Marguerite raised 3 children in the home. The middle son, Jimmy Chartz, a very popular character in Carson, lived in the home until his passing at 79 in 1999. Fully restored in 2005, this Arts and Crafts style home has the original fir floors, bay windows, pine molding with leaded glass windows, sitting rooms, TV/Office area, kitchen and five guest rooms.
All rooms have large custom Indian/Pakistani/Turkish rugs with beautiful colors and designs. Each guest room has a private bath with shower, refrigerator, television, alarm clock, hair dryer and hand made soaps. The beds are pillowtop mattresses, sheets are 400 thread count, each with down comforters and pillows.
WIFI is through out the house.
Lovely front porch for quiet spring/summer/fall days – watch the world go by in the Historic District of Carson City. Old and mature maple and cottonwood trees surround the property.
Self-serve, 24 hour continental breakfast is available in the kitchen – coffee/tea/juice, cereal, toast and snacks. Flexible self-check in policy anytime after 3pm.
The Bungalow is Carson City’s alternative to casinos and franchise motels – the Bungalow is cozy, charming and perfect for the discerning traveler and business person.
